Regulation Authority:

Title 20, Chapters 42-17.1, 42-17.6, and 42-17.7, and in accordance with Chapter 42-35-18(b)(5), Administrative Procedures Act of the Rhode Island General Laws of 1956, as amended.

Purpose and Reason:

To close the commercial directed fishery for Atlantic Herring in Area 3, with a 2000 lb/day possession limit bycatch allowance; to increase the commercial possession limit for Scup to 18,000 lbs/vessel/week; and to decrease the commercial possession limit for Summer flounder to 150 lbs/vessel/day.
